DESIGN ICOON uit de jaren vijftig:
een massieve teakhouten uitklap tafel met ovaal blad, ontworpen door Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard Nielsen
en geproduceerd door France & Søn in de jaren zestig.
Geheel uitgevouwen meet de tafel 163 x 141.5 cm, 163 x 91 cm met één klep naar beneden en 163 x 40,5 cm met beide kleppen naar beneden. De tafelhoogte is 72,5 cm. Voorzien van originele stempels en brandmerken.
Deze tafel is in een prachtige staat, geschuurd en opnieuw gelakt in een extreem matte "nulglans" lak die het een eerlijke natuurlijke uitstraling geeft, waardoor de houtnerf heel mooi zichtbaar is geworden. We hebben ook de messing elementen gezandstraald: waar ze voorheen glanzend waren zijn ze nu ook mat gelakt.....
deze tafel is daardoor uniek in zijn soort.
Naar onze mening past de 'nieuwe look van deze oude tafel' perfect in het moderne vintage interieur van nu!
Deze fantastische tafel is recent opnieuw in productie genomen door '&Tradition' in Denemarken, verkrijgbaar in eiken en walnoot en niet in sjiek warm teak, vanaf 4800 euro tot 6100 euro, zie de afbeeldingen.
De 1stdibs prijzen lopen op tot zeker 9000 US Dollar maar geen tafel is zo modern als deze ...

When folded out the table measures 163 x 141.5 cm, 163 x 91 cm with one flap down and 163 x 40.5 cm with both flaps down. The table height is 72.5 cm.
This table is in a beautiful condition, sanded and relacquered in an extremely matte "zero gloss" varnish which gives it a honest natural look, whith a nice visible wood grain. We also sandblasted the brass elements: where they used to be glossy they now are matte lacquered as well.......making this table absolutely one of a kind.
In our opinion the 'new look of this old table' fits perfectly into today's modern vintage interior!
This fantastic table is recently taken in production again by '&tradition' in Denmark, only available in oak and walnot and not in warm teak, starting price 4800 euro up tp 6100 euro, see the images.
1stdibs pricing upto 9000 US Dollar though no table is as modern as this one...
